SRINAGAR: Castigating Utter Pradesh (UP) principal secretary (home) AK Gupta for his remark that no one died of cold in Muzaffarnagar relief camps, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday said that the bureaucrat should be sent to the relief camp with lesser clothes.
Without naming the UP secretary home, Omar wrote of twitter, Can’t die of the cold!!!! Send him out in a few less clothes and let’s see if he isn’t singing a different tune pretty damn quick.
It is pertinent to mention that the UP principal secretary on December 26 had defended the death toll in the relief camps of riot victims of Muzaffarnagar, UP and had stated that no one could die due to the cold conditions in the relief camps.
Gupta earlier had stated that the children have died of pneumonia, not of cold and that nobody can die of cold. If people died of cold, nobody would have been alive in Siberia.
