Srinagar: Chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik has been invited by London Institute of South Asia to attend its annual seminar at Committee Room G, Blackrod Garden, and House of Lords at 5-30 p.m. on 22 January 2014.
The subject of the Seminar is Prospects of Indo Pakistan Relations, which is an important subject at a time when relations between India and Pakistan are improving and dangers of war receding. In its invitation letter the director of LISA has said that It is also a well known fact that unless the Kashmir issue is resolved it is difficult to see any prospects of enduring peace in the region.
She further says, We have invited eminent persons scholars and journalists to address the issue. In view of your considerable interest and vast experience we have the honour to invite you to express your views on this vital subject and also highlight the importance of self-determination in Jammu and Kashmir for peace in the sub continent.
Meanwhile Malik has expressed his heartfelt condolences at the sad demise of the father of GK correspondent Aabid Bashir. Malik while praying for the heavenly abode for the departed soul has also prayed for the bereaved family.
