SRINAGAR: Claiming that the National Conference (NC) founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was the great admirer of gun in Kashmir, senior Huriyat leader and Mahaz-e-Azadi patron Azam Inqilabi Thursday stated that Sheikhs vision about Kashmirs political status before 1975 was that of a rebellious and a militant.
Inqilabi said that he met Sheikh in 1972 at his Srinagar residence and held long discussion about the freedom movement of Kashmir.
He further stated, I was recently released from Jail in 1972 and I went to offer Friday prayers at Harzatbal shrine. Sheikh sahib was addressing the people there and was speaking about the righteous path of the Kashmirs resistance movement. I started crying after listening to his speech.
Inqilabi mentioned that he went to meet NC founder at Srinagar residence. I introduced myself and said that I belong to the group of JKLF founder Maqbool Bhat.
Sheikh sahib advised me that if I have chosen the path of armed resistance then there are two things to be followed, (Khuda aetimadi aur Khud aetimadi) one is absolute trust on Allah and other the self confidence, said Inqilabi , adding, Sheikh told him to go ahead with the mission.
Inqiliabi further quoted Sheikh saying, If there is a strong will in the young people of Kashmir then the Indian arms would scatter like cannon fodder.
Inqilabi said that the basic ideology of NC founder could be understood by the poetry of Faiz that Sheikh has mentioned in the starting pages of his biography. Qatal Gahun sae chun kar hamarae Alam; Aur niklae gae us Ushaaq kae qafilae. (KNS)
