Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed government to reveal details on lease renewal policy as regards Gulmarg by August 12.
A division bench of Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sanjay Dhar passed the orders after advocate S. A. Makroo, counsel for an applicant, pointed out that despite opportunities, the Gulmarg Development Authority and others have not filed the reply and the matter was being unreasonably delayed.
He also pointed out that the authorities have failed to frame the policy with regard to lease renewal.
“Let the reply and the action taken report on lease renewal policy be filed before us by the next date of hearing, failing which Commissioner / Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, J&K, and the Chief Executive Officer, Gulmarg Development Authority, shall remain present in person,” the court said as per an order.
