SRINAGAR: Coaching Centres Association (CCA) of Kashmir has demanded that the investigation into the infamous entrance examination scandal be speeded up and taken to a fast track court so that the justice is delivered within the shortest possible time.
The association termed the situation as very grim and tantamount to destroying not only career of hard working students but dreams of honest deserving families.
The association asked the government to take the case to a fast track court. We want this case to be solved within shortest possible time, so that the usual process of tricks employed in judicial delay doesn’t bring it to dead end, said CCA in a statement. We have a bitter memory of previous cases, where the corrupt officials went scot-free due to their manipulation in the judicial process, it read.
The rot goes deep of what is currently evident, it said. We have been crying hoarse over the examinations since last year and it is only today that matter has been taken up.
Even this year after the examination misconduct was highlighted, BOPEE authorities managed to twist the paper leak scam as packing error, the statement said. We demand an inquiry into this years examination too, before it is too late.
The association demanded adequate rehabilitation to the meritorious students who were declared unsuccessful. Everybody is talking about the punishment of those non-deserving students, but nobody is talking about the compensation to those meritorious students, it said.
The association said that be it BOPEE, SSRB or PSC – the corruption has become an accepted practice and the officials concerned have a deep nexus with the agents involved in the scam. They are threatening very existence of our society and putting our life in people like these future scamster doctors, said Var.
The association demanded that to avoid the repetitions of such incidents a fool proof mechanism, with checks and balances, should be introduced.
