Malik pays tributes Aali Kadal martyrs
Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to his friend and JKLF founder leader Sheikh Abdul Hamid and others who laid down their lives for Kashmir cause.
They include Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Advocate Jamil Chowdhry, Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmad Kuttay, Mustaq Ahmad Khan and Ghulam Mohammad who embraced martyrdom at Aali Kadal Srinagar on 19th Nov 1992.
According to a statement, a condolence meeting was held at Mazar I shuhada Eid Gah which was led by Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik and attended by various JKLF leaders, activists, friends and heirs of martyrs in large number.
While remembering Sheikh Abdul Hamid and his close association with him, Yasin Malik said that today we are remembering those martyrs who laid down their lives for the betterment of our future. He said that these martyrs proved the fact that JKLF and its leaders always kept themselves in the front whenever the time of sacrifice aroused. From martyr Mohammad Maqbool Bhat to martyr Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, advocate Jamil Chowdry and others this history of sacrifices has been repeated time and again, added Yasin Malik.
Statement said that after the condolence meeting a blood donation camp was also organized at Abi Guzar Srinagar. Organized by Hameed blood bank, the camp was attended by JKLF leaders, activists, students, journalists, traders, relatives and well-wishers of martyrs and people from all walks of life.
People in large number donated their blood for the welfare of humanity. Front chairman was also present on the occasion. He thanked all those who participated in the camp and said that JKLF has been organizing these camps from last 22 years with a goal of serving humanity and saving lives of humans. He said that JKLF will continue these human efforts and social works in future also.
