Cabinet approves proposal of Common STPs for hotel industry
JAMMU: The Cabinet which met on Monday under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, approved the proposal for setting up of common sewerage treatment plants for the waste water generated by the hotel industry.
The said proposal in the first instance will be implemented in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar, subject to the payment of maintenance charges/fee, as shall be prescribed by the competent authority in this behalf, to be paid by the hoteliers/other beneficiary commercial units.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet approved the transfer and posting of Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, IAS, Director Information as Secretary, Tourism and Culture vice Atal Dulloo, who is proceeding on Central deputation. Zaffar shall, however, continue to hold the charge of the Director Information J&K till further orders.
In another decision, the Cabinet gave sanction to the promotion of Mohammad Ishaq Wani, Director Budget, Finance Department and Altaf Hussain Mirza, Director, Accounts and Treasuries, Kashmir to the Super Time Scale of Rs 37,400-67,000 +GP of Rs 10,000.
