Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported 213 more Covid-19 cases on Friday, including six paramilitary personnel and three cops, taking the number of cases in J&K to 6,762, officials said.
“213 new Covid-19 cases were detected in J&K. While 155 of them are from Kashmir, 58 are from Jammu,” the officials said.
Among fresh cases, 63 cases were reported from Baramulla followed by 40 from Udhampur, 23 from Pulwama, 18 from Shopian, 17 from Kupwara, 11 from Budgam, 10 from Srinagar,seven from Kulgam & Rajouri, five from Anantnag & Kathua,three from Reasi, two from Poonch and one each from Bandipora & Samba, they said.
Among the new cases reported today are 3 cops from District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama and six paramilitary personnel. Five of them are Border Security Force (BSF) Men from 102 Battalion Trehgam Kupwara, while another is a CRPF man from 45 battalion Sempora.
Officials said that 113 more patients recovered and were discharged from different hospitals.
The number of confirmed cases has now reached 6,762 out of which 5,266 are in Kashmir, while 1,496 are in Jammu, the officials said.
There are 2,591 active cases of the coronavirus disease in J&K — 2,098 in Kashmir and 493 in Jammu — and 4,080 (3,088 from Kashmir and 992 from Jammu) patients have recovered, according to officials.
The J&K has witnessed 91 Covid-19 (80 from Kashmir, 11 from Jammu) deaths so far.
