Srinagar: To assess the problems and difficulties faced by the people, the Advisor to CM Qamar Ali Akhone along with the State Minister for Science and Information Technology, Medical Education, School Education, Youth Service and Sports Feroz Ahmad Khan, MLC Kargil Syed Ahmad Razvi, Councilor Ghulam Rasool Nagvi, other councilors, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil and other district officers visited Drass Region and attended a Public Durbar.
The statement mentioned that during the Public Durbar Sarpanches and Panches form different villages of Drass made aware the Ministers about the problems faced by the people of their villages and demanded for immediate redressal of these problems.
On this occasion interacting with the people present there the Advisor to CM assured for meting and redressing their problems one by one on priority basis. Recounting the developmental schemes completed and running in Drass Sub Division, Qamar Ali Akhone said that the Zojjila Tunnel has been initiated by the Chief Minister of J&K last year and work will start soon. He also told that Tehsil Status for Drass, Niyabat for Tai Suru, Block for Soth and Sub Division Status for Sankoo and Chiktan are under the keen consideration of the State Government.
The State Minister for Science and Information Technology, Medical Education, School Education, Youth Service and Sports Feroz Ahmad Khan and Councilor Ghulam Rasool Nagvi also interacted during the Public Durbar. Likewise the Team also attended such Durbars at Zanskar, Taisuru and Sankoo.
