SRINAGAR: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir is holding national symposium on Changing Disease Scenario and Management Approaches for sustainability in Agriculture from October 26 and 27, 2013 at main Campus Shalimar.
The symposium organized under the aegis of Indian Society of Plant Pathologists (INSOPP) will show participation by more than 150 delegates from India and abroad. The intent achieves significance in view of the emerging challenges of climate change that has also resulted change in disease scenario of crops and other organisms. The Valley of Kashmir is no exception where diseases occurring in important crops like apple and paddy have started exhibiting newer dimensions. The symposium is expected to address the disease problem facing the crops in State as well and fruitful recommendations are expected to emerge for adoption by scientific community.
