Srinagar: A day after killing a policeman and injuring another, unknown militants on Friday made an abortive bid to target government forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Unidentified militants lobbed a grenade towards a checkpoint manned jointly by police and CRPF near the higher secondary school Kakpora Pulwama this evening, reports said. However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded along the roadside, without causing any damage to life or property.
A senior police officer said the area was immediately cordoned off after the grenade attack
