SRINAGAR: Police Friday said that it has arrested two persons for providing logistic support to militants who carried out deadly Hyderpora attack in which 8 Army personnel were killed .
Giving details of the case IGP said that in a significant development Jammu and Kashmir police has cracked Hyderpora attack case, in which 8 Army men were killed on 24th of June 2013. Police has so far arrested two persons Naveed-ul-Islam resident of Mochua, Chadoora and Bilal Ahmad Lone resident of Khan Colony, Chanapora, Srinagar who were part of what he called ‘criminal conspiracy’ and provided logistic support to the attackers and accompanied the militants to the spot of attack.
IGP further said that The attack was carried out by Irshad Ahmad Ganaie aka Abu Abdullah resident of Larkipora, Padgampora, Awantipora and a Pakistani militantt Hamza aka Zeeshan. Both the militants owe affiliation to LeT and this attack was masterminded by Divisional Commander of LeT for South Kashmir, Qasim a Pakistani militant on the direction of Pak Kashmir based LeT commander aka Hanzallah Adnan and aka Ahmad Bhai.
The investigation reveals that there are some other people who have provided logistic support to the attackers who have been also identified.
