SRINAGAR: A security vehicle, escorting Minister of State and MLA Gurez Nazir Gurezi, skidded off the road near Hung Sonamarg Tuesday injuring five security personnel, one of them seriously.
Reports said that National Conference leader Nazir Gurezi was on his way to Srinagar after completing his Kargil visit. A CRPF vehicle of 82 battalion escorting the minister skidded off the road near Hung Sonamarg. Police said that the security vehicle turned turtle and all the five CRPF personnel onboard were injured.
Police said that constable Surinder Singh was critically injured in the mishap and he was shifted to SKIMS, Srinagar. Other security men injured in the accident were rushed to Trauma Hospital Kangan. They have been identified as S.Parveen, Rai Bahadur, Beer Bahadur and Sub Inspector Suresh Kumar.
