Srinagar: With separatists already having rejected the enquiry orders in Shopian firing incidents, locals too dont seem to be much enthusiastic about it as no one turned up for the deposition on Monday for recording the statement with the Deputy Commissioner Shopian who has been appointed as the enquiry officer by the Govt.
The Deputy Commissioner had issued a public notice asking eyewitnesses to depose before the commission from 16th to 21st September for the recording of the statements. However sources said that no one turned up for the same till late afternoon.
When contacted Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Bashir Ahmad Bhat confirmed that his office did not receive any eyewitness till afternoon.
