SRINAGAR: Veteran separatist leader and head of Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Muhammad Azam Inqilabi today castigated Pakistans apologetic K-policy saying it would not help in resolving the long standing Kashmir dispute.
Pakistan neutralized the role of Azad Kashmir as government in exile, thus emboldened India in perpetuating war crimes here, Inqilabi said in a statement issued here today.
He said Azad Kashmir should be empowered so that it can act as base camp of our freedom struggle.
Inqilabi said resistance and patriotic leaders from Srinagar and Muzaffarabad should adopt a unified approach in the interest of national resistance movement.
Our line of thinking should be independent than of Islamabad and Delhi, he added.
Inqilabi said government of India wants to curb dissent here by oppressive tactics.
Strongly condemning the killing of senior resistance leader of Baramulla, Abdul Rashid Sofi alias Gazi Rashid, MeA patron blamed the murder on Indian forces and termed it as a custodial killing.
Torture, arrests, killings and other suppressive measures have never been successful in making an occupation a permanent feature, Inqilabi said.
On killing of five civilians in shopian and differing statements by CRPF and Police, he said the situation has become alarming and exacting.
In this situation Delhi rulers should understand that a draconian law like AFSPA cant deter the activities of Mujahedeen. This law is used by Indian forces for victimizing civilians as it provides them unbridled impunity, he added.
He also condemned the arrest of Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, younger brother of Shaheed Maqbool Bhat by police.
