Srinagar- With increasing in COVID-19 patients, Jammu and Kashmir authorities have declared over 45 areas ‘Red Zones’ and 160 ‘Buffer Zones’ across Kashmir Valley to contain the deadly virus.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary said that Srinagar district has been divided into 25 zones and there will be around 5000 government officials deployed across the district for resolving the day to day issues of people.
DC Srinagar made a fervent appeal to the people to stick to the lockdown stating that some 800 people didn’t disclose their travel history and if they would don’t so, perhaps the situation would have been better at this juncture.
In Srinagar, areas which have been declared ‘Red Zones” are Ahmadnagar, Lalbazaar, Hawal, Nishat, Khayam, Iddgah, Goripora, Chattabal, Hyderpora, Bemina, Jawahar Nagar, Natipora, Lasjan, Nowshera, Hawal and Ahmad Nagar.
While the ‘Red Buffer Zones’ areas include: Sheikh Alam Colony, Alamdar Colony, Hakbazar, Jogiwan, Rehman Colony, Zabarwan Colony Brein, Khayam, Bilal Colony, Tangbagh, Nowpora, Khankhan Dalgate, Bhishamber Nagar, Bantibagh, Rathpora, Wanganpora, Ganderpora, Waniyaar, Cement Bridge Noorbagh, Aalis Masjid Tengbagh, Bagwanpora, Sakidafar, Shaheen Mohalla Noorbagh, Palpora, Shanglipora, Pamposh Colony, Chattabal, Shah Anwar Colony, Alfarooq Colony Bemina, Iqbalabad, Natipora and Zoonimar.
Similarly others “Red Zone and Buffer Zone” areas include in other parts of Kashmir are Waskura, Kharbagh Batwina, SK Bala Chewa Ajas C Chandergeer, Parry Mohalla, Bandipora Kunon Gundikesar, Gundi Dachina, Madwan, Hakbara, Pethlot, Gund Jehageer Naidkhai, Gundpreng Rakhi Hajin, Hakbara, Arin, Madar, Gamroo, Madar, Brar, Argam, Argam, Shopian, Sedow, Ramnagri, Sindo, Sharmal, Chotipora, Saidpora Bala, Check Mirzapor, Asmshipora, Shamaipora, Reshnagri, Pashpora, Tukroo, Balpora, Poterwal, Wathoo, Vehil, Chatawatan, Kachdora, Hanjipora, Wathoora, Kandajan, Chari sharief, Soibugh, Gopalpora, Hanjigund, Batapora, Zoloo, Khaigam, Darwin, Nowgam, Wasimarg, Zinpanchaal, Rakhai, Hapatkara, Zaloosa and Pymus.
In Baramulla, these areas are: Sulinda, Tangmarg, Uri, Qazipora Iqbal Colony, Sulanda, Chanpora, Qazipora, Kampora, Kralpora, Kilwara, Sawan, Ferozpora, Hardmadam, Sonlipora and Tangmarg Town.
While in Pulwama, among these areas are Khaigam Rajpora, Sangerwani, Abhama, Gudoora Pinglena, Chandgam, Parigam, Pakherpora, Kanidajan, Sonbanjar, Kumar Mohalla, Wasanmarg.
And in Kupwars, ITI Handwara and Baghbela have been declared ‘Red Zones’.
