SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police is upgrading its building infrastructure to provide better working and living facilities to its personnel. Various office and residential accommodations have been constructed across the State to strengthen the building infrastructure under the modernization scheme.
This was disclosed by the Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. Ashok Prasad, while commissioning the Model Police Station building at Harwan today. He said that in view of the increasing responsibilities, the Organization has been focusing to upgrade the working conditions for its personnel as per the latest requirements. Constructions are made keeping in mind the modern facilities and techniques of construction, he added.
Mr. Prasad appreciated the efforts of the officers and engineers of Police Hosing Corporation (PHC) and Police Construction Division (PCD) for ensuring quality material and time bound construction of the buildings. He asked them to keep in mind weather scenario of the particular area before finalizing the plans of construction in that area. He said that the constructions should be equipped with latest facilities of living and working including recreational facilities for the personnel, who are always found busy facing tough situations. Proper supervision by the senior officers would make performance more fruitful, said the DGP.
