Srinagar-An elderly woman from Khanyar area of Srinagar, who was the first positive case of Coronavirus in Valley has responded very well to the treatment and has now tested negative for the virus at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar, said an official.
Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr Farooq Jan confirmed to Kashmir Observer that the fresh samples of 67-year-old woman came out as negative on Sunday.
“She has shown progressive recovery and is being shifted to Level-II for further Quarantine purpose,” he said
The woman with a travel history of Saudi Arabia tested positive for the deadly disease on 18th of this month making her the first case for virus.
The first positive case, an elderly lady with history of foreign travel and symptomatic thereof and, in fact, recovered with the repeated tests as Negative in 24 hours on the 14th day,” he said, adding,
