Doda- Hundreds of travellers who have arrived in Doda district of Chenab valley complained of poor arrangements at the quarantine centres where they have been put in. They alleged they were sent to quarantine centres where they are being bundled in unhygienic rooms.
Over 137 people were put under quarantine in Doda complaint of inadequate facilities at the centres.
“Food is very unhygienic, water is also cold and no medical team came to attend us” said Ghulam Hussain of Doda on phone.
Hussian along with his wife was on Umrah and returned back on 8th of March. He said they were put under quarantine in a local hotel but it’s lacks adequate facilities.
Another person echoed the similar complaints are slammed the authority for inadequate facilities. He alleged that the administration is putting the people under quarantine randomly.
“I came back to umrah on 8th march and was at home till 20th but I don’t know why they put me under quarantine after 12 days,” said Mohammad Anayat.
The Government has created 35000 Quarantine facility across J&K. Over 35000 beds in Jammu (6500), Srinagar (10000) and individual districts (1000 each) spread over large locations.
While denying the allegation Deputy Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode said they have arranged all the facilities for the people under quarantine and the medical teams regularly go for checkups.
“I taste the food every day and it’s completely hygienic, we have provided best facilities to the people under Quarantine” Doifode told Kashmir Observer on phone.
