Constitutes special teams for up-gradation of schools
Srinagar: The special teams were constituted by Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) for extension in recognition and up-gradation of schools across Kashmir division.
The DSEK has also issued instructions to the managements of the private schools to adhere to the provisions of SRO-123 or face de-recognition.
The inspection teams shall focus their attention on the availability of land, infrastructure, salary of the teachers, qualification of teachers, and availability of ground, toilet and drinking water facilities.
According to handout issued by DSEK, it has received 331 representations from private schools regarding joint inspections, recognition of managing body, extension in recognition and up gradation of schools. In this connection, it has constituted four different inspection teams, each headed by a senior officer to inspect the schools and consider the cases on the basis of merit.
The schools have been made fully aware about the provisions of the notification No. of 18 March 2010 with regard to SRO -123.
