Srinagar: J&K RTI Movement has termed Kishtwar clashes as regrettable and painful.
In a statement Chief Spokesperson of the Movement Farooq Kuthoo said, It is upsetting to see loss of precious human lives and property. We condemn this mindless violence and demand an enquiry on fast track. J&K since ages has been a symbol of peace, harmony and brotherhood and this violence has left us speechless and astounded.
Chairman of the RTI Movement Dr Shiekh Ghulam Rasool said, Government in a planned way have given guns/weapons to their agents in Chenab valley with the sole objective to use them to satisfy their mysterious motives. All VDC members should be disarmed immediately and political parties should desist from politicising the issue.
We appeal people of state to maintain peace and harmony and stay united.
