Srinagar, Sep 17: Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah Monday said that Kashmir issue is a political problem and the problem needs political solution. He said that the friendship between the two depends upon the solution of Kashmir and anything aimed at pushing the Kashmir issue at the backburner will be detrimental for both the countries.
If the two nuclear powers want the peace prevails in the area then they should take bold steps for the solution of the long pending issue of Kashmir, Shah said.
He further said that India wants to silence the Kashmiris and their aspirations by power but they cannot stop the spring.
He said that the Kashmir issue is a key to the peace in the South Asia and the peace will elude the region till the Kashmir remains unresolved. He further said that Indi can not silence the lakhs of Kashmiris whose near and dear ones have offered sacrifices from many decades. The kashmiris will continue their freedom struggle till they are released from the Indian occupation, he said.
Shah also paid glowing tributes who had laid down their lives during the three summer uprisings. He said that the armed forces involved in the killing of three people killed in Islamabad on 18th September are still roaming free. The authorities have given them a free hand. The police have not registered an FIR against the killers. This speaks volumes about the brutality and lawlessness prevailing in the area, he said. Noor Amin Dagga, Bilal ahmad Najar, Maroof Ahmad were killed in the police firing on 18th September.
He said that despite the High Court orders for registering FIR the police is not move and has defied the highest judicial orders.
Shah also paid tributes to the Ajaz Ahmad Dar on his death anniversary and said that he laid down his life for the sake of freedom. He also reiterated his stand and said they will continue their struggle and will not let the sacrifices go waste in any way.
