Srinagar: Mother of Peoples Democratic Party spokesperson and Member of Legislative Council, Nayeem Akter breathed her last after brief illness at her present residence located at Parreypora Srinagar. Begum Syed Mohammad Syed was 82.
Almost all the political leaders especially from PDP condoled the demise of Begum Syed. PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed along with party colleagues visited Akhtars residence to join him in his hour of grief.
Scores of PDP leaders visited Akhtars residence and prayed for the departed soul. These leaders included Muzafar Hussain Beigh, , Dilawar Mir, Sartaj Madni, Abdul Rehman Veeri, Sofi Abdul Gafar, Abdul Haq Khan, Javid Mustafa Mir, Syed Altaf Bhukari, Dr Sameer Koul besides others.
