Rajouri: An army jawan was killed after a bullet from his own rifle hit him while he was on patrol duty along the Line of Control (LOC) in the Rajouri sector.
Havaldar Sodhan Singh was patrolling along the forward belt along the LoC in heavy rains when he slipped, resulting to accidental firing from his service rifle, as he fell down late last night, a senior army officer said today.
The critically wounded jawan who belonged to Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
