Srinagar: State government has deputed a two member committee to Makkah to discuss various issues including accommodation and transport facilities of aspiring Hajjis with the Saudi Arabia authorities.
Government has sent a two member committee to Makkah and we will make sure the smooth pilgrimage this year. Pilgrims will not face any problem in Makkah, Hajj and Auqaf Minster told KNS,.
Last year pilgrims complained poor facilities including accommodation and transport facilities.
When asked about the fare hike by the Saudi authorities, he said, Only 55 hajjis who have already been to Makkah will have to pay extra fare. While the first-time pilgrims will have to pay around Rs 150000 for the pilgrimage, the repeaters will have to pay over Rs 300000.
