Tral: At least three persons, including a child, were wounded when a grenade went off at the site of encounter at Mandoora, Tral. Three militants and a policeman were killed in Mandoora encounter on Monday.
Reports said police and paramilitary troopers were busy in removing the debris from the encounter on Tuesday site in Mandoora village in presence of the locals when a live grenade went off, injuring three including a child.
The injured were immediately rushed to hospital. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi and Khurshid Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Rehman both residents of Mandoora Tral. The child who received injuries is from Sonawar, Srinagar. He was identified as Mohammad Asif son of Shakil Ahmed.
Soon after the explosion, police took control of the area and didnt allow anyone to proceed towards the encounter site.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in Tral to mourn the death of the three militants who were killed in an encounter with forces on Monday. Shops, Schools and business establishments remained closed while thin traffic movement was noticed.
