ANANTNAG (ISLAMABAD) Ummat-i-Islami today expressed grief over the deteriorating health condition of it’s Chairman Qazi Yasir Ahmad who was shifted to Central Jail from the District Hospital today.
A meeting held here at Qazi Manzil and attended by the members of Jamiat Ahli Hadees, Trade Unions of the town,The Bar Association, Islamabad condmened authorities for resorting to vindictive politics.
“Mirwaiz’s condition is worsening and it”s shameful on the part of Police that he has been shifted to central Jail”, the members said.
Maulana Barakati while informing the members said that Mirwaiz Yasir had fallen ill on the 21st of June and he had been taken to Distt. hospital, Islamabad after which he was refereed to SMHS, Srinagar. But rather than taking Mirwaiz to the hospital police took him to the court and where his condition worsened, he alleged adding, Yasir suffered a stroke there that paralyzed the left side of his body.
Mirwaiz Yasir was still under medical care when he was taken away from the hospital, he said. “His leg is still paralyzed, how was he discharged from the hospital and lodged in Sadr Police station and then shifted to Central Jail” Maulana Barakati asked.
Moulana Buland Iqbal said that when they courted arrest, they were promised if they leave the Police station, Mirwaiz will be released immediately, but all the promises were fake and were just made to cheat us and stop us from giving any further programs, he said. He said Mirwaiz was not being granted bail and the continuous fake words of the administration will force us to come on the streets.
The representatives of various organizations later decided that they will meet the administration for one last time and if the administration fails to release Mirwaiz Yasir, they will chart out a program which may include strikes too.
