SRINAGAR– Three persons drowned in separate incidents across the Kashmir Valley on Monday.
A police spokesman in a statement said that a 25-year-old boy Suhail Ahmad Najar son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Nishat Srinagar slipped into Nallah, Lidder, Pahalgam, Anantnag. Later, the body of the drowned boy was fished out at Sadow Padao, Pahalgam.
In another incident a 7-year-old boy Shahid Ahmad Waza son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Baliharan, Mirgund drowned in Sukh Nallah at Baliharan Mirgund, Pattan. Efforts were on to retrieve the body, the spokesman said late on Monday.
In another incident a 16year-old boy Sajad Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rehman resident of Bugroo Khansahib drowned while taking bath in an irrigation canal near Doniwara stop, Khansahib ,Budgam. The body was fished out from the canal.
