Srinagar: According to Joint Director School Education, Kashmir, the heads of Government and Private Educational Institutions have been given strict instructions that they should desist from sending the students on excursion to Pahalgam and Sonamarg, in view of the ensuing Amarnath yatra.
He said that in respect of other picnic spots, prior permission needs to be obtained from concerned Zonal Education Officer and Chief Education Officer in case of the elementary schools and in respect of high and higher secondary schools. This should be ensured by the head of the Institutions, both government and private, that the excursion are conducted carefully, ensuring safe pick-up and drop of the students. He said violation of instructions would be viewed seriously.
