SRINAGAR – An army soldier who was trying to board a plane at Srinagar Airport was arrested after some ammunition was recovered from his bag, official sources told Kashmir News Trust.
They said that an army soldier posted in Kashmir was arrested when 2 magazines and 40 rounds were recovered from his bag. The soldier was handed over to police for questioning.
A number of such incidents have occurred in past when soldiers were detained for carrying ammunition along with them.
A police official while refusing to divulge the information about the soldier in question said that they are investigating the matter.
Srinagar based Defense Spokesperson; Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that he will speak only after ascertaining the fact. (KNT)
