PATTAN: Coming down heavily on Peoples Democratic Party leader, Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari for ignoring his Constituency, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Sunday said that Ansari is never going to make it in coming elections. He (Ansari) always prefers to stay outside Assembly and we are going to make him stay outside forever, Abdullah said while addressing a gathering in Trikolbal Pattan.
Omar Abdullah said that he (Ansari) has ignored the constituency completely. Not only this, he never attended the Assembly proceedings and raised the problems of people. He prefers to spent time outside Assembly and in coming Elections we (NC) will oust him from Assembly forever, he said.
The Chief Minister said that he believes in actions rather than making slogans. My governments performance is before the people. Our work done on ground is our strength. People will judge us on this scale, he said and elaborated that he would move ahead on achieving the twin goals of peace and development with commitment, determination and sincerity. I need not publicize or talk loudly on the achievements and performance of my government. I will go on fulfilling my commitment made to people during 2008 Assembly Elections quietly till 2014 and then request public to judge us on our performance, he said adding that when people will be satisfied with his government they will extend wholehearted support to its return in 2014 Assembly Elections.
The Chief Minister earlier laid foundation of Rs. 2.54 crore bridge over Sukhnag Nallah in Trikulbal and fixed one year time frame for its completion. He announced two water supply schemes of Rs. 2.35 crore Gund Khawaja Qasim WSS and Rs. 80 lakh Hajeewera WSS to augment drinking water facilities in the area. He also announced upgradation of Trikulbal High School to Higher Secondary School and a playground for youth in the area. He said upgradation of Gund Khawaya Qasim would be examine and considered positively.
Omar showered praises over the local leader and Chairman of the Coordination Committee Mohammad Ibrahim for advocating public cause and working selflessly for the betterment and development of the area.
The public meeting was also addressed by Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone, MLA and Provincial President NC, Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani, former Minister Abdul Rashid Shaheen and legislator Javid Ahmad Dar. Chairman Coordination Committee of the area.
NC Ignored me: Meanwhile Molvi Ifthikar Hussain Ansari Sunday criticized Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for not inviting him in his own constituency where Chief Minister laid foundation of Rs. 2.54 crore bridge over Sukhnag Nallah in Trikulbal Pattan.
This government has thrown all rules to winds. It is protocol to invite any sitting MLA of his constituency to attend the government sponsored function, Ansari told Srinagar based news gathering agency CNS alleging that National Conference compelled the government employees to attend the function despite being Sunday to give an impression that Chief Minister addressed an impressive gathering.
He said that he has proof that National Conference compelled government employees from Srinagar, Ganderbal and Magam to attend the function. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah didnt address National Conference supporters at Trikolbal, Pattan but these were hundred odd government employees, Ansari claimed.
Taking a dig on Chief Minister for criticizing him in his address, Ansari said that in the coming elections NC will be routed once for all. Let them dream about their victory but people will kick them out of power. Do what the Chief Minister want to do, NC will never make inroads in my constituency, he said adding that announcement made by CM to upgrade Trikulbal High School to Higher Secondary School is ridiculous. This is my achievement. I had recommended this to Joint Board and the Board conceded to my demand. The CM made only formal announcement giving an impression that it was he, who did it all. (CNS)
