Srinagar: In an effort to tackle the menace of black marketing of essential commodities, Consumer Affairs and Public Distributor (CAPD) has decided to take the help of police to unveil the officials involved in malicious practice and to bring culprits to the justice.
Kerosene oil meant for public distribution in North Kashmir is being sold to hotels, factories and other business establishments. Department is going to approach the police to unveil the network of these black marketers, CAPD sources told KNS.
Black marketers have set up a strong network. It has become a need of an hour to tackle with the issue before it gets stronger resulting in more trouble to general consumers, they added.
