SRINAGAR: A Jammu Kashmir Bank branch manager was caught along with his female accomplice by police after locals complained of immoral activities inside his residence in Baramulla today.
Ashpal Singh (50) who heads TP branch Sopore was found with a girl (name withheld) at his residence which was locked from outside in Khawja Bagh area of the district, police said.
Police sources said that a squad of Anti-Narcotic Squad after receiving frequent complaints from people of the area raided the house of Ashpal Singh. We always found his house locked and but had suspicion of something fishy going on inside. We broke the lock of the house and found Singh in objectionable position with a girl, they said.
These locals immediately called the police who detained Singh along with the girl.
We have registered a case against them under section 294 vide FIR number 174/2013. Ashpal Singh has been put behind the bars and the girl was shifted to sub-jail Baramulla, a police officer said.
Locals have demanded stern punishment for the accused and have claimed that Ashpal Singh son of Hukumat Singh was known for his immoral activities. Locals also demanded the same punishment for the accused girl. (CNS)
