SRINAGAR: The district administration on Tuesday sealed a private tour company for violating foreign ministry guidelines on registration.
The Karan Nagar-based offices of the Khadim Al Makkah tour company, dealing in Hajj and Umrah travel, were sealed on the orders of the district magistrate in swift action following an unauthorised advertisement.
The firm is said to have issued advertisements of its services in a local newspaper on Tuesday prior to fulfilling external affairs ministry guidelines.
According to a foreign ministry notification of April 23, private tour companies offering travel services for pilgrimage are required to register themselves with the State Hajj Committee in conformity with prescribed rules before beginning operations.
