Dear Sir,
With due respect, I want to inform to your good-self that I am one of the senior medical officers working in the Health Department who has been bypassed to accommodate junior medical officers. One example is of Dr. Qazi Haroon who is a very junior officer figuring at serial no.1732 out of 2600 medical officers working in the state. I understand it is not possible to give a prime posting to every senior medico but I don’t understand how have rules been bent to give two prime and senior positions to the said officer. The said officer is holding two posts wiz State Immunization Officer, J&K and Nodal Officer, Dept of Family Welfare, J&K.
In 2016, to restore seniority, Hon’ble Health Minister transferred the said officer occupying the post of District Immunisation Officer, Bandipora District to Sub District Hospital, Kangan as Medical Officer but the officer has managed to make a comeback by accommodating himself at two sensitive posts responsible for family planning and immunization in the state. There are many qualified and experienced senior doctors who can be the best fit for the said posts.
In this regard, if you find any truth in the facts that I have stated, I request your good self to kindly post it in the newspaper as government officials have turned deaf ear to our requests.
It is suffocating for senior officers having years of experience in the field to work under ineligible junior officers like him.
Yours sincerely,
One of the aggrieved senior medical officers of J&K Health Department.
