GANDERBAL District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal conducted an awareness programme on Child Abuse, Sexual Voilence and Cyber Crime at Government High School Anderwan Kangan on Monday.
The programme was held under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Ganderbal Mohammad Yousuf Wani and Secretary District Legal Serives Authority Ganderbal Iqbal Rafiq Vakil.
On the occasion Retainer Lawyer Miss Immetul Mehraj, Headmastet Govt. Boys High School Anderwan, Teachers and Students spoke on the issue of child sexual abuse, Sexual Offence and Cyber Lawas. They also briefly discussed Protection of Children on Sexual Offenders Act 2018 and held a brainstorming session with the students.
Speaking on the occasion, they explained in detail the child sexual abuse and rights of children . They said that the aim of organizing such programme is to aware every child of his/her rights guaranteed under different laws and about ways to fight any kind of physical, sexual, emotional or psychological abuse at the hands of any persons at home or outside home. They also spoke on the Juvenile Justice Care and ProtectionAct and POSCO laws.
