SRINAGAR Jammu and Kashmir Police Monday said that the accused involved in the rape of a girl is not a juvenile as claimed by the school authorities.
Police said a special Investigation team has been constituted to probe the incident.
The accused has been arrested. Punishment will be awarded by the court as per law. The accused is not juvenile, reported news agency KNS quoting a top police officer.
Meanwhile, protests erupted at several places in Kashmir with people observing strike against the heinous crime.
