SRINAGAR As the first day of Highway restriction is approaching, the Srinagar district administration has offered an air ticket to a person for his Journey to Jammu to facilitate him to attend a patient admitted in PGI Chandigarh.
A person took to twitter seeking advice from the government for his ” must travel” to Jammu on Sunday amid Highway Ban, after receiving a call from PGI Chandigarh to attend his relative who is admitted in the medical facility.
According to reports, when a journalist posted screenshot of the tweet in a news group, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary immediately responded asking for the details of the person, saying, they can give him an air ticket.”
The Deputy Commissioner later posted another message informing that the person had been identified and turned out to be his twitter friend. He added in another tweet that they were in touch and needful has been done
Shahid could not however be reached for comments.
