SRINAGAR Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Wednesday announced that they will stage a protest on February 27 against the harassment of employees and continuous suspension of Urban Local Bodies Employees Union Forum President Manzoor Pampori.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the EJAC led by its acting President Fayaz Shabnam. EJAC alleged that government has hounding employees particularly Manzoor Pampori for highlight the problems and raising issues confronting these employees.
We will stage a massive protest against the harassment of employees. We demand the suspension order against Manzoor Pampori to be revoked as he has every right to fight for the employees, Fayaz Shabnam, the EJAC president said.
He said EJAC is duty bound to protect the rights of government employees of Jammu and Kashmir. He demanded that action should be initiated against those who are involved in rampant malpractices in Urban and Local Bodies Department. I appeal all the employees to make the Feb 27 protest call successful, he said.
