JAMMU: Governor N. N. Vohra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and others greeted the people on Holi, and hoped that the festival of colours would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor observed that festivals are an important component of our rich cultural heritage which strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity. He expressed the hope that the coming Holi would spread happiness and joy all around and further promote harmony and brotherhood.
Wishing a happy Holi to the people, the Governor prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his greetings message, the Chief Minister reminded the people of the rich tradition of Jammu and Kashmir State to celebrate festivals and holy occasions in amity and brotherhood and expressed the hope that this ethos would get further strengthened.
Omar Abdullah prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of the State and the Country.
