It often baffles the world as to how India with diverse religions, ethnicities and cultures still exists as a unit, rather thriving as a global power both democratically and economically. To continue with this principle, such ethos is the inert characteristic of India with 1.3 population, as India cant afford a new division. The history is testament to the fact the inclusive approach of India has been profound and has yielded great dividends.
The constitution of India was designed in the backdrop of this diverse trait of India. But the threat was ionising in the environment, an aggregation of certain section within the nation launching a scathing attack on the initiatives propelled by Nehru led government.
The holy book for the RSS cadres Bunch of Thoughts, has a long chapter titled as Internal Threats in which Muslims and Christians are described as threat number 1 and 2 respectively. Communists are played at number 3. This chapter opens with the following statement:
It has been the tragic lesson of the history of many a country in the world that the hostile elements within the country pose a far greater menace to national security then aggressors from outside.
While treating Muslims as hostile element Number one the author goes on to elaborate:
Even to this day there are so many who say, now there is no Muslim problem at all. All those riotous elements who supported Pakistan have gone away once for all. The remaining Muslims are devoted to our country. After all, they have no other place to go and they are bound to remain loyal .It would be suicidal to delude ourselves into believing that they have turned patriots overnight after the creation of Pakistan. On the contrary, the Muslim menace has increased a hundredfold by the creation of Pakistan which has become a springboard for all their future aggressive designs on our country.
He goes on to spit venom against common Muslims in the following words:
within the country there are so many Muslim pockets, i.e., so many miniature Pakistans The conclusion is that, in practically every place, there are Muslims who are in constant touch with Pakistan over the transmitter
The RSS, whose ideology is to lament, obviously an autolyzer, which will eventually dissolve the ethos and integrity of nation.
The irony is that, the organisation, that is sermoning the nation over patriotism, have forgotten that the first terrorist of independent India was Nathoram Ghodse, an RSS ideologue.
After being banned several times, they kept mobilising their force, increasing their cadres, and after witnessing several attacks to the Indias integrity, several think tanks coined the term Saffron Terror
The organisation had opposed almost every single move by the Govt, even the nomenclature, like naming Hindustan as India and tricolor as national flag. Although they kept evolving over the years, increasing their number considerably, but never could control the country.
However the shot came after 2014 general elections, when Narendra Modi rode to power in Delhi and with this influence of RSS amplified manifold.
Altering nomenclature, restrictions on press, cow vigilantism, increasing rapes, mob lynchings, riots have been on rise during these 4 and half years, as designated by certain people as years of intolerance
The thing that astonishes the most conscious minds of the nation is that they dont exhibit the traits to discuss economy, education, health strategy, farming.
For the first time, parliamentarians of Europe spoke of intolerance surpassing Indian nation.
It is all about Mandir, Masjid and so on. Few months I tuned to a news channel, and what I found froze my neurons, Prakash Raj, an actor turned politician, had attended a conference somewhere in Karnataka and in retaliation the RSS ideologue sitting in the panel was exhorting the parcharks to sanitize the place with cows urine, because the place where Raj had spoken was contaminated, I wonder, people with such thinking are calling themselves patriots and well wishers of the country.
The BJP facilitated the entry of RSS people into the power corridors, even in Rajya Sabha and in the prestigious institutions. They have infested the fibre of nation.
India is beyond geography. The concept of India is more than a community, more than a religion or faith and such extremist onslaught will deter Indias idea of inclusiveness and oneness and if they continued to live with this approach, India is bound to lose its integrity.
