JAMMU: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today informed the House that 47 industrial estates have been establish in Jammu and Kashmir comprising 37143 industrial units.
Replying to a question by Mrs. Indu Pawar in the House today the Minister said of these industrial units, 24245 units are functional while as 264 units are sick units. He said the Department has taken many steps to check the failure of industrial units in the State. He said the steps includes incentives as per the industrial policy, marketing support, creation of skill councils, facilitation council for settlement of delayed payments and regular reviews at State Level Banker Committee meetings.
