For candidates appearing in JEE Mains January exam, the release of answer key can be a boost or a moment of slight de-motivation. For candidates who have a good match with the answers in JEE Main answer key released by NTA, it will be a major boost. Good motivation must bring a manifestation in the faith of doing good to get into the IITs, ISM Dhanbad, NITs and top private institutions of the country. A good score not only makes sure for admission into some prestigious colleges of the country but also is a pathway to IITJEE Advanced examination. A candidate scoring good in IITJEE Advanced exam will only qualify for a set in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Further, good performances in boards after a marvelous show in JEE Mains will prove to be a cherry on the cake.
However, for candidates who are not able to score good enough, they do not need to feel down, as National testing Agency from the year 2019 will give another chance to students to appear for JEE Mains once again in the month of April. They can try harder next time and get the desired result in the April examination.
As per the notification released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), it is essential for a student of general category to gain at least 75% in board examinations or be in top 20% in their respective boards to be qualified to get into the top institutions of the country via IITJEE Examination. If otherwise the candidature of the student will be considered null and void. In simple terms, if you did not perform well in board examinations in class 12 but you scored good in IITJEE Advanced, the score will not be valid for admission purpose. But this admission criterion is not needed for admission to many other academic institutions that offer admission based on JEE Main 2019 scores.
A good or bad score in IITJEE Mains examination must be the only factor of motivation. For, a student who performed well, it should be a factor of motivation to do better in the upcoming boards and JEE Advanced examination. - Fix the number of questions to attempt per day and try to attempt this number of questions daily. For e.g., If you attempt 50 MCQs daily from 2 subjects while preparing for boards. Both the papers will become comparatively easy for you. In this manner, you will be able to solve atleast1500 multiple choice questions in one month and technically 16 JEE Main papers.
- Keep self-analyzing- While you prepare for boards and IITJEE MCQs a self-assessment is the key. After solving questions you must note down if you are able to answer correctly. If not, which topics require more practice? These are the topics which must be practiced urgently for a better performance. It’s also essential to attempt questions in a specified time frame. All these tips will help you analyze and perform better in boards and IITJEE exam as well.
- Keep a check on the time spent on each question. Analyzing the time that you are taking to solve a question and solving more and more questions can do wonders. No matter how many books you read, join coaching classes, the only trick that will help you to crack the IITJEE is more and more practice, you have to analyze your weaknesses work on them and practice more and more.
