SRINAGAR: Police apprehended a 30 year old man from South Kashmir for allegedly abducting a 16 year old girl. The incident had sparked tension in Ashmuqam area.
According to police, 30 year old man Manzoor Ahmed Tedoo from Gawas Ashmuqam had lured a 16 year old girl a week ago. We constituted a team and recovered the girl from a far flung area. The girl was handed over to her family while we have charged this man with assault, kidnapping and unlawful confinement, SHO Ashmuqam, Jan Muzafar said adding an FIR 08/2013 has already been registered in this regard.
