SRINAGAR: The Muttahida Majlis-e-Mashawarat (MMM) spearheading the separatist camps demand for the return of Muhammad Afzal Gurus body has repeated its appeal for students to hold protests in schools, colleges and universities on Tuesday.
It has also called upon students to offer noon prayers at their respective campuses.
Since students are the future of the nation, the responsibilities devolving on them also increase. Keeping in view that students have had an important role in the ongoing movement, we make an appeal to them to hold demonstrations in their campuses on Tuesday, raising slogans for azadi and the return of the mortal remains of martyrs, the MMM said in a statement today.
Protests in educational institutions are a part of the fresh MMM calendar issued yesterday in which it has already called for a strike on Wednesday.
