SRINAGAR Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and patron Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Friday extended greetings to the Muslims on the beginning of Islamic month Rabi-ul -Awal, in which Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was born.
Mirwaiz Umer urged people to follow the footsteps of great prophet (SAW) and to make it the way of living.
It was on the 12th Rabi-ul-Awal, Prophet (SAW) was born and with his birth he brought a revolution in human thinking, faith, civilization and culture which did not only change the lives of the people but altered the geography of the world, he said.
Mirwaiz Umer said that Muslims instead of doing lip service in expressing their love and devotion for the last Messenger of Allah (SAW) need to follow his teachings in letter and spirit and implement them in all sphere of their lives.
Muslims were facing conspiracies today being hatched by imperial and Zionist powers which can only be countered by following the teachings of Islam, Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the holy book of Quran in letter and spirit he said.
Mirwaiz Umar prayed to the Allah to make all of us better Muslims.
On the occasion of Khawaja Digar, the congregational Asar prayers offered at revered shrine of Khawja Naqshband (RA) at Khawja Bazar on 3 Rabi-ul-Awal, Mirwaiz will deliver a sermon after Zuhr prayers where he will shed light life on the Prophet (SAW) life and the autobiography of Khajwa Sahib (RA).
Meanwhile APHC spokesperson strongly condemned the fresh wave of cordon and search operations (CASOs) and nocturnal raids in Tral, Kokernag, Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian and other areas, arrest of youth, harassment to inmates and vandalising the properties and terming it undemocratic.
The spokesman said government forces have unbridled powers and are unleashing terror across the length and breadth of Kashmir knowing the fact that they wont be held accountable for their misdeeds.
