SRINAGAR Two militants were killed in a fierce gun battle which erupted in Soothu Kothair area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district in wee hours of Wednesday.
Reports said that the two militants have been killed at Soothu Kothair after gunfight erupted around 2:30 am on Wednesday.
SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray said that two militants have been killed but there identity is yet to be ascertained.
As per sources the slain militants has been identified as Sabzar Sofi of Sangam, Anantnag and Asif Ahmad Gojri of Anantnag. But official confirmation is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped mobile Internet services in the city and shut educational institutions.
Class work at KU suspended today
The class work at University of Kashmir will remian suspended on Wednesday.
“In view of the prevailing conditions in the valley the class work will remain suspended at Kashmir University today.The decision has been taken to avoid law and order situation in the varsity,” said a spokesman
