GANDERBAL Police on Thursday said that the minor boy who was murdered in central Kashmirs Ganderbal was a case of revenge killing.
Father of the boy had rejected killers proposal to marry his daughter after which, he killed the minor to revenge his father, SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal told reporters during a press conference.
Minor Faisal Misgar, son of Ghulam Hussain Misgar of Busarbugh Alestang had gone missing from his home on Sep 7.
His body was found a day later in an orchard.
SSP Ganderbal said that the killer of Faisal has been arrested.
Abrar Majid Reshi 21, neighbor of the Misgars family has been arrested in this case and he has confessed his crime, the SSP said.
Reshi according to SSP had proposed to the Misgars family that he intended to marry their daughter but the proposal was rejected by her father.
Faisals sister was married only three days prior to his death.
To revenge Abrar killed Faisal, Poswal said. (CNS)
