SRINAGAR After string of abductions of family members of policemen, a special police officer (SPO) has left his job and returned home in Midoora Village of Awantipora township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
As per a local source, SPO Bilal Ahmad Kumar s/o Abdul Ahad Kumar has announced his resignation at a local mosque.
On Friday, the head cleric of Jamia Masjid Midoora had received a letter from the SPO stating he had quit his job.
While reading the letter, the cleric said: The SPO has announced voluntary retirement from his services and is seeking public apology.
