JEE Main is one of the toughest exams to crack in our country. People try for years and still dont a good enough rank or something that is just average. When results came out for the JEE Mains this year, Suraj Krishna and his family were completely stunned. The boy is the ideal example for aspirants of JEE Main 2019. Bhogi Suraj Krishna, one of the budding students of our country scored 1st rank in the exam and surprised everyone. When asked about what he owes his success to, his answer was the mock tests and the good old NCERT which helped him reach this place.
The boy scored 350 out of 360 and hasnt just topped the exams, but has set a new level which no one would be able to reach sometime soon. He says that he was quite confident in himself but scoring the first position was a surprise for him too.
Surajs dedication is what brought him to this stage. His dad is a businessman and his mother is a housewife. He has been a well performing student since childhood while being dedicated to becoming an engineer. He has been in love with mathematics and science, since always and that is what drove him to sit for the JEE exams. He also dedicated his success to the freedom his parents gave him. They were always supportive of him and always let him do what he wanted to.
Surajs Preparation Strategy for JEE Main
When asked about his secret to cracking the exams, Suraj said that he focuses more on understanding whats there in the books and not just reading things for the sake of it. He loves Science and all of it just peaks his curiosity. While most people are more focused on cramming all the topics and studying what would get them more marks. This was not the strategy that Suraj adopted.
Surajs strategy was going through each and everything that his books had and consulting his teachers in case of a doubt. There wasnt a point when he stopped, he continuously went on by one by one going through each and every books. Once he completed his 10th exams, he was onto the books and understanding each and every concept. This increased his knowledge and also helped him score well.
Suraj also told about each and every step of his preparation strategy saying that this might help students. We have also broken down the whole thing in the simplest way for you.
For the subject Physics, Krishna solved last 5 years question paper each and every day till he felt confident. Along with the good old NCERT, HC Vermas book also helped him through the journey. He says that the non-mechanical part is physics holds major importance. Topics like current electricity, magnetic effects on current and magnetism, electromagnetic waves, optics are quite important as they are mostly concept based and hold more marks.
The other subject Suraj loves is chemistry. For this subject, his bible was the notes given by his coaching institute. Inorganic Chemistry, as said by him is the most important apart from the Physical and Organic part. He put more stress on equations and arithmetic in chemistry as compared to any other part of the subject. Constant practice and revision are his secrets for the subject.
His most favourite subject is Mathematics for which he says calculus and probability are most important and both require constant practice with maximum understanding. Half of the mathematics exam is based on these two topics. Suraj went through study material every day and did as much questions as he could find. He spent maximum amount of his time on Maths only.
